Starting a Farmers' Market
At the beginning of 2015, a group of volunteers, community members and local organizations realized a need for a farmers' market in downtown Coldwater. The group met and were initially energized by the idea, concept, and interest from the community. Although the committee thought the initial planning wouldn't come to fruition until 2016, a decision was made to proceed with a market in 2015 on a trial basis. The committee members were shocked at how many people came to support the market each week. In 2022, the Corner Farmers Market became a 501c3 non-profit organization.
We aim to support high quality locally grown produce and sustainable practices, increase healthy and wholesome food access, and promote community interaction.
We are looking forward to another season of the Corner Farmers Market in downtown Coldwater!
We are looking for vendors who grow produce locally including fruits, vegetables, flowers, etc. to sell at the market. If you are interested in being a vendor, please click here for vendor forms.
